Description
Arima Town Hall is an important civic and heritage landmark in Arima. It was declared a Royal Charter on 1 August 1888 by Queen Victoria. According to the National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago, it was the only Royal Borough of its kind in the Colonial Caribbean. The Town Hall has served as the seat of the Borough Council and following recent refurbishment works was officially reopened on 19 August 2026, providing a renewed space for community, culture, civic engagement and public service.
